A fun time was had by all at the 4th annual Indoor triathlon held at Funspot to benefit the New Hampshire Humane Society! 20 teams took part in bowling, golf and games and raised over $3,000, the most ever. Thanks to everyone who participated; Franklin Savings Bank, Funspot and Northeast Communications for sponsoring the event and all who donated raffles prizes for a very worthwhile cause! See you next year!

Our 21st annual Cash-N-Cans money & food drive for the holidays was a phenomenal success thanks to you, our listeners! A record amount of food was donated, over 24,000 non-perishables and $23,537.74 in cash. All donations, every penny and non-perishable food item collected, stays local, benefiting our friends and neighbors here in Central New Hampshire through the Twin Rivers Interfaith Food Pantry; the Santa Fund; Bread & Roses Soup Kitchen; Community Action Program; Tilton/Northfield/Sanbornton Christmas Fund and the Franklin and Belmont Toys for Tots programs.

A fun time was had by all at the annual Santa & His Workshop celebration at the TRIP Center in Franklin! Each child had their picture taken with Santa for a small donation to Mix Cash-N-Cans, courtesy of Franklin Savings Bank and a toy compliments of Franklin Kiwanis. The TRIP was a beehive of activity with make-and-take holidays crafts, holiday music, the tree lighting and more. Thanks to the many organizations for making the event a huge success!

Rowell School donates to Cash-N-Cans


WOW!!! During the month of November the Bessie Rowell students were taught a valuable lesson; the lesson of generosity and the value that comes from helping others. The Student Council, along with students and staff, collected non-perishable food for Mix 94.1fm‘s 21st annual Cash-N-Cans Money & Food Drive for the holidays. The result is pictured above...over 18-hundred non-perishables, more than a thousand more than was collected last year! Thanks to everyone who participated! Pictured are the Rowell School principal Mr. Barbour; student council members Teddy, Amber, Patrick, Drew, Skyler, Jennifer, Hailey, Brianna, Griffin and organizer of the food drive, Mrs. Magoon.


Since the food drive for Mix Cash-N-Cans was such a huge success, the Bessie Rowell School student council decided to aid in the Toys for Tots program. The children and staff collected new unwrapped toys for ages 12 and under and once again, they were very successful, collecting 284 toys. Great job!

Mulligan‘s Bourbon Wings For Cash-N-Cans
Betty & Chris once again did their Bourbon Wing (voted best messy finger food for 2007 by NH Magazine!) fundraiser for Mix Cash-N-Cans this year and raised $812 dollars! November 14th-December 14th, order Betty‘s Famous Bourbon Wings and a portion of each order will be donated to Cash-N-Cans!!


Winnisquam Regional Middle School donated over one thousand non-perishables food items for Mix Cash-N-Cans, spearheaded by students Jack, Scott, middle school teacher Mr. Hampe and Mr Tryon (not pictured). Thanks for your help!

AutoServ Filled The Truck!

Thank you to AutoServ Tilton for filling the bed of their 2008 Ford Ranger pick-up with non-perishables for Cash-N-Cans! As you can see by the picture, the truck was overflowing!

Fred‘s money jar raised the most money, beating Chief Adams and road agent Mike Summersett...although the chief was seen stuffing Fred‘s jar with dollar bills to put him up and over! The ‘winner‘ had to kiss the pig! All monies raised were donated to the T/N Old Home Day Committee.


 

 

      


The 8th annual HK Powersports Land & Lake Poker Run to benefit Easter Seals NH was a huge success! Despite the tough economy, over $63,000 was raised! Thanks to you and all our sponsors for making this event one of the best on the lake every summer! The Mix Morning team of Fred and Amy did the land portion of the Poker Run and didn‘t get lost for the first time in eight years! Above, they‘re with Easter Seals volunteer Colin Horton at the Patrick‘s Pub land checkpoint. Colin was a huge help! By the way...Amy & Fred had the best Land Poker Hand and took home a huge trophy! We‘re already looking forward to next year‘s Poker Run. Save the date-Saturday July 11, 2009!
